Arthur J. Muller III

Biography

Adjunct Professor Arthur Muller is presently a Partner at Trivella & Forte, LLP. He started his career focused on representation of unions and ERISA Trust Funds, including complex alter-ego litigation. His practices areas have since evolved into various commercial litigation fields, including business tort litigation, mechanics liens and foreclosures, construction contract disputes, FLSA and NYLL litigation, business compliance, post-judgment enforcement, property disputes and more. His clients include ERISA Trust Funds, homeowner associations, condominium boards, restaurants, hotels, automobile dealerships, banking institutions, businesses, and individuals. He is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Since 2016, Prof. Muller has also been a Trial Coach for the Trial Advocacy Department. Over the years, his teams have placed in various competitions, including consecutive Regional Championships in the American Association of Justice trial competition, placing as National Finalist (2021) and National Semi-Finalist (2022), as well as Regional Finalist (2023). In 2021, his team also earned a regional advancement in the All-Star Backet Challenge, eventually placing in the Top 4 in the Nation out of 64 competition schools. His teams and students have also won awards for most professional team, best cross examination, and best overall advocate. Professor Muller also coaches the prestigious Tournament of Champions competition.

Professor Muller has also lectured at the Trial Advocacy Department’s trial bootcamps, covering all aspects of trial, and has been a guest lecturer for the Trial Advocacy course, lecturing on evidence, ethics and professionalism, and expert witnesses.

He has been consecutively selected to Super Lawyers® Rising Stars since 2018. He serves as a member of the House of Delegates for the New York State Bar Association and on the Board of Directors of the Westchester County Bar Association where he is also the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and Chair of the Mock Trial Committee.

Professor Muller is a 2015 manga cum laude graduate of Haub Law. He was part of the inaugural class of Pro Bono Scholars, a member of Pace Law Review and Student Trial Director for the Trial Advocacy Program. Prior to law school, he earned his BA in Political Science from Stony Brook University, graduating manga cum laude, as well as an MBA with concentration in finance and management.
