Biography

Professor Janene Marasciullo, who teaches the Fairbridge Investor Rights Clinic, is an accomplished advocate with over 25 yeas of first-chair trial experience. She has litigated hundreds of complex commercial, securities, civil fraud, trade secret and employment disputes in federal and state courts and in various arbitral fora, including AAA and FINRA Dispute Resolution. She is also a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Commercial Arbitrators and New York State certified commercial mediator.

Prior to entering private practice in 2007, Janene was a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she represented the United States in complex commercial, civil fraud, and tax cases and won multiple performance awards. Janene also served as Senior Counsel in Enforcement Department of NASD, the predecessor to FINRA, where she won the President’s Award. She began her career as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. D. Brooks Smith, while he was a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Janene received her JD with honors from George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the George Washington Journal of International Law & Economics.
