Biography

Adjunct Professor Joseph Kendy is an experienced business law attorney advising American and multi-national CEOs and senior management on domestic and international corporate legal matters and risk management.

Professor Kendy is the founder and Managing Member of Kendy Law, LLC. The firm provides advice and counsel on domestic and international legal affairs and risk management, employment law and related agreements, domestic and international commercial contracts, intellectual property, dispute resolution, litigation management, trade association relations, legislative and regulatory matters, and corporate governance.

He is former Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of Shiseido Americas Corporation, a domestic and international manufacturer and supplier of cosmetic products. He represented the company to industry trade associations concerning state and federal legislative and regulatory matters. He was also regional Counsel for the Americas Shiseido Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan.

Professor Kendy is a member of the Dean's Executive Advisory Board at the Ancell School of Business Western Connecticut State University and an Adjunct Professor. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the Jack Welch College of Business and Technology at Sacred Heart University.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, U.S. District Court District of Connecticut, U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. He is a former Captain in the U.S. Army.
