Katryna L. Kristoferson
Biography
Adjunct Professor Katryna L. Kristoferson is a partner at the Law Offices of David Paul Horowitz, PLLC, where she is the managing attorney. She has extensive litigation experience in contract disputes, premises liability, construction law claims, personal injury claims involving construction accidents, slip and falls, motor vehicle accidents, and claims involving elevators and escalators. Professor Kristoferson has extensive experience drafting and arguing summary judgment motions and is skilled in all facets of motion and alternative dispute resolution practice. She has written numerous appeals, argued successfully in the Appellate Division, First Department, drafts and reviews contracts, and provides clients with in-depth analysis and solutions to existing and potential issues. Professor Kristoferson has earned the trust and confidence of the Firm’s clients, ranging from individual litigants to major corporations. She has lectured at annual CPLR Update programs at the Judicial Institute and to numerous bar associations, and on the legal impact of Implicit Bias, again for numerous bar associations. She is certified by the OCA as a Part 137 Fee Dispute Arbitrator, and is be working towards being certified as a Part 146 mediator. In addition, Professor Kristoferson is co-author of a monthly column in the NYLJ, Practical New York Practice™, a bi-monthly column in the NYSBA Journal, Burden of Proof.
