Biography

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

Dr. Lindamarie Werntz Coatman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Management and Management Science Department at the Lubin School of Business. She earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Dr. Coatman has over 25 years of experience leading financial services and consulting divisions as a Management Committee member, Chief Administrative Officer, Head of Human Resources, and Consultant. She has led projects and divisions across North America, South America, China, Japan, and Europe. Dr. Coatman has lived and worked around the world. She has worked for companies such as Morgan Stanley, China Merchants Bank, Capgemini (formerly Gemini Consulting), Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia), PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly PriceWaterhouse), and DNB Bank.

In addition to earning her Doctorate in Business Administration, Dr. Coatman received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting from the University of South Carolina. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a specialty in international tax. She is also a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. In addition to teaching, Dr. Coatman works with industry leaders and emerging leaders to enable them to own and navigate their professional aspirations by turning business challenges into transformational growth opportunities.

Prior to joining Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ as a full-time clinical professor, Dr. Coatman was an adjunct instructor at the Lubin School of Business. She received a Certificate of Recognition from Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ for instruction in the Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional® program.

Dr. Coatman's research interests include leadership, stress, resilience, work engagement, psychological safety, and understanding the impact of gender and generational differences in these areas of study.

Dr. Coatman is an inductee of the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders. She was also a member of the New Jersey Innovation Partnership Institute, which partnered academic professionals with business leaders to better prepare college graduates for professional careers in finance. She is on the Board of Directors for the Association of International Bank Audit and Compliance Professionals.

Dr. Coatman is a frequent speaker at professional events. Past speaking events include those sponsored by the National Foreign Trade Council, Westchester Society of Human Resources Management, Forum for Expatriate Management, New York City Community Workshops, and Toastmasters.
