Patricia Angley
Biography
Adjunct Professor Patricia Angley is a senior staff attorney in the Public Benefits Unit at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV) and serves as the adjunct director of the Equal Justice America Disability Rights Clinic for the Fall 2023 semester. She represents low and moderate income persons and disabled persons in obtaining and securing government benefits, including resolving disputes including Medicaid, rental assistance, SNAP and cash assistance and unemployment insurance benefits. She is experienced in advance planning and health planning. Previously at LSHV, she represented senior citizens, victims of domestic violence and cancer patients and participated in the medical-legal partnership with White Plains Hospital.
In 2008, Professor Angley earned a certificate from the New Directions Program at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 泫圖弝け, and in 2014, she completed the Healthcare Management Certificate in Palliative Care at Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration. She is a member of the New York State Bar Associations Elder and Special Needs Section, the New York State Bar Association Disability Rights Committee, the Westchester County Bar Association and the Westchester Womens Bar Association. Her article on Resolving Conflicts among Multiple Surrogates under the Family Health Care Decisions Act has been published in the NYSBA Elder and Special Needs Law Journal.
