Contrasting Approaches to Conservation Biology

Dr. Erika Crispo, Professor of Biology, will join us on November 12 to discuss the role of diversity in the conservation and reintroduction of wild populations of animals and plants. Dr. Crispo completed her MSc and PhD at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. The focus of her graduate work was on adaptation and dispersal of fish populations in Trinidad and Uganda. She joined Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ in 2012, where she has been conducting research on the conservation of populations, with an emphasis on fishes. She is interested in how different approaches to the reintroduction of depleted populations influence conservation outcomes, and she has created a game to play with students in her classes. On November 12, Dr. Crispo will share this game with the PARC community.
