We are thrilled to celebrate the class of 2025 on Monday, May 19, and Tuesday, May 20 at the Louis Armstrong Stadium at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and we're glad you will be celebrating with us. Thank you again for assisting at the 2025 Commencement ceremonies!

Sign Up To Join the Platform Party

Celebrate our graduates’ accomplishments from the stage. We will honor the entire undergraduate Class of 2025 at the main ceremony, and graduating students will hear their names called and cross the stage at their individual school and college ceremonies. The formal conferral of degrees will be included in the main ceremony. Our hope is that as many faculty and administrators as possible will attend to celebrate our graduates’ accomplishments.

Faculty who join the platform party at Commencement will be provided the following:

  • Transportation via bus to and from each campus. Information about transportation registration will be available closer to Commencement. You are also welcome to use public transportation. Visit the Plan Your Visit webpage for directions information.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
  • Dedicated staff to assist with robing and to ensure you join the processionals at the correct times for each ceremony.

Sign Up To Work For Commencement

It requires an incredible team effort to make Commencement a special day for our graduates, and we are asking for your help to staff the day and properly celebrate our graduates.

Staff who work at Commencement will be provided the following:

  • Transportation via bus to and from each campus. Information about transportation registration will be available closer to Commencement. You are also welcome to use public transportation. Visit the Plan Your Visit webpage for directions information.
  • Scheduled meal breaks for breakfast and lunch.
  • A full day off, which can be taken any time before June 30, 2025, to be scheduled with your manager.
  • Dedicated team leaders who will be oriented to the venue in advance. Team leaders will direct staff and provide support to their teams.

Information about signing up to work for Commencement will be available closer to Commencement.

Arrival Information for Volunteers

Important: Please remember to bring your Pace ID.

Entrance

Please use the East Gate to enter the Tennis Center.

Schedule

Group Leaders arrive at the Tennis Center at 7:45 a.m. Staff, student aides, etc. arrive at the Tennis Center 8:00 a.m.

Please stay to the left as you enter the East Gate to have your Pace ID scanned. This will ensure that you will receive your full day off. Please be advised that handbags, etc. will be checked by USTA Security. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

Once you are on campus, please go to the Umpire Room in Louis Armstrong Stadium, it will be on your right, look for signs. Please go to the Staff Registration Table to register. Shirts will be provided to all staff/student workers on the day of Commencement when you sign in at the Staff Registration Table. The shirts will help to easily identify those working in case anyone needs assistance. We ask that you wear business casual attire - Please NO jeans.

A light breakfast will be available.

Lunch will also be provided, approximately 11:30 a.m.

Students and all-day guests will arrive before 9:00 a.m. Main Ceremony processional will begin at 10:10 a.m. College/School Ceremony only guests will arrive after 11:30 a.m. The program will end at 4:00 p.m.

Parking

Event parking is at Citi Field, located next to the Tennis Center. The Tennis Center recommends using Grand Central Parkway exit 9E or Whitestone Expressway Exit 13D for the shortest route to available parking lots.

Upon arrival, lot attendants will direct you to the appropriate area.

There is a $30.00 charge for parking and cash is not accepted. The Tennis Center encourages graduates and guests to expedite arrival by pre-paying for parking.

Role Assignment

A communication will be distributed closer to the Commencement day with role assignments for workers. Should you have any questions or if for any reason you are unable to assist us at this ceremony, please contact commencement@pace.edu as soon as possible.
