Three Pace students in a computer lab

See more information on the academic support options available to International Access students below. Peer Mentoring Workshop attendance is required on a weekly basis; Content and Writing Tutoring attendance is required a total of six (6) times throughout the semester; English Tutoring is not required, but is nevertheless available should International Access students wish to improve their English skills. All tutoring options are free of charge.

  • These workshops discuss a wide range of topics centered on how to achieve both academic and professional success. The majority will be led by international students who have excelled in their studies at Pace, some of whom may also have graduated and currently hold professional careers. Some examples of topics could be how to properly cite sources or how to determine your individual learning style; other sessions may be devoted to mentors sharing what they wish they knew when they first started their studies at Pace; yet other sessions may take the form of mixers connecting students with mentors who are further along their academic or professional journeys to provide guidance and advice. After attending the IAP advising session within the first two weeks of classes, you should receive further information on how to attend these mandatory, weekly workshops. If you have questions, email Alice Yang at ayang@pace.edu.

  • Content tutoring is led by trained peer tutors in many subject areas. These students can help you develop a better understanding of your class content and clarify any concept you might find difficult. They are available for both walk-in and appointment based supports. To see tutor availability, use your account. See instructions below and email LC_NYC@pace.edu should you have questions.

  • Writing tutoring is offered for all stages and levels of writing at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ. Students can visit a writing tutor to brainstorm ideas, develop an outline, or review essays that they have already started writing. Our writing tutors are trained to work with you across all subjects and forms of writing (academic, professional, creative). As with content tutoring, writing tutors are available for both walk-in and appointment based supports. To see writing tutor availability, use your account. See instructions below and email LC_NYC@pace.edu should you have questions.

  • If you think you could improve any area of your English, want help understanding your assignments, or simply wish to connect with other international students at Pace, we have professional and peer tutors ready to assist you on a weekly basis. We also offer a wide range of tutoring formats; from One-on-One Tutoring Sessions to Conversation Groups to Business English Seminars.
