The courses in the program are taken consecutively with completion being accomplished in one year. A leave of absence may begin during a semester or prior to the beginning of a semester and is limited to two consecutive semesters, excluding summer semesters. Generally, a student must complete the program in three years, including any leave of absence or course re-takes due to failure. The maximum time allowed from matriculation to the conferring of the MS degree is 5 years.

Students are registered for 3 credits per semester, so no federal financial aid is available. Per federal guidelines, a student must be registered for six credits or more to be eligible for federal aid. There may be private loans available which will require personal research to determine eligibility.
