Ƶ IT security team using a laptop

In order to protect Ƶ from potential losses that can be associated with a data breach we have partnered with Identity Finder, LLC. Identity Finder is a company based in New York City that focuses on software that is used to scan for sensitive data, PII – Personally Identifiable Information, that can be stored on a client’s IT infrastructure.

Identity Finder is used to search for, identify and detect files that contain personally identifiable information or PII. These files most often contain information such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, health information, credit card numbers, passwords, birth dates or a driver’s license number and address location information. This information is considered sensitive in nature and should not be stored on a desktop or PC but rather a departmental file share. Files containing sensitive data identified above should not be kept unless there is a clear business need for such files to exist and then only kept on the department’s file share.

All Ƶ employees who use a Pace owned laptop or desktop are required to run an Identity Finder scan at least once every six months.
