Why is Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ utilizing this system?
Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ is utilizing the Pharos Uni-Print solution to provide a "green", student-friendly approach to printing from any location. The system increases student functionality to a wide range of services to meet ever-evolving document needs.
Who can use the system?
The system is designed with a student focus but can also be utilized by faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. (see usage fees)
What are the benefits?
Users will have one interface for printing, copying, and scanning--with the additional option to scan to email. Also, users will have the capability to print wireless to any Pharos Uni-Print device on the Pace network.
How will it work?
As part of the Student Technology Fee, at the beginning of each semester, a credit will be applied three times throughout the year; at the start of the Fall and Spring semesters and Summer Session 1.
- Students: All students receive a non-refundable technology allotment of $30.00 on their Pace ID Card at the beginning of every semester (3x/year). This credit allows them to print, scan, and copy documents in the Tech Zone, Computer Resource Center, Mortola and Beekman Libraries, and other on-campus locations with Pharos printers. This credit cannot be carried over from one semester to the next.
However, any additional cash funds that students add to their Pace ID Card (campus account) will carry over from semester to semester until used. To add additional cash funds, students can visit the article and clicking on the provided link. You will be required to enter your Pace username and password and make a credit card or electronic check payment. Also, Campus Printing Account can be added by making an appointment with Student Accounts. Added funds through Campus Printing Account or Student Accounts will be accessible up to 2 hours after the transaction. Cash funds that students add to their Campus Printing Account will carry over from semester to semester until used. - Faculty/Staff: Due to the fact that this is a "student centered" initiative, Pace faculty/staff using these services will be charged monthly via a departmental charge-back (similar to Document Services' process).
- Alumni/Guest: Pace alumni and guests will receive $3.00 three times a year.
What do you need to get started as a Pace student?
As a Pace student, you will need to have an activated Pace ID Card. Please visit the following webpage for information on how to obtain your Pace ID card if you don't have one.

What are the device features and capabilities?
The Universal Pharos printer includes printing, copying, and scanning from any of the designated locations. Wireless capabilities are available to assist users to print from their own remote location. Note: Remote users must be connected to the Pace network.
I am a faculty, how can I print using the Library, Tech Zone, & CRC Multi-Function printers?
Faculty can use their Pace ID card or log in to the printer manually with their Pace username and password to print in the Library/Tech Zone/Computer Resource Centers. All printing, copying, and scanning costs will be charged back to the faculty's department; similar to Document Services. The uni-print solution that has been implemented is a student centered system that was bought, paid for, and maintained through the student technology fee.
We strongly encourage faculty to utilize their departmental printers/copiers in conjunction with their departmental budget code. For your convenience, the following link directs you to the Document Services website.
How much does it cost?
You will be charged the following costs:
- B/W Printing and Copying: 6¢ 1st side, 3¢ 2nd side (printing is double-sided by default)
- B/W Scanning: 2¢ per scan (image, picture, or document to email).
- Color Printing and Copying: 30¢ 1st side, 27¢ 2nd side (printing is double-sided by default)
- Color Scanning: 2¢ per scan (image, picture, or document to email).
- Students: As a Pace student you will be credited with $30.00 three times a year.
- Faculty/Staff: Due to the fact that this is a "student centered" initiative, Pace faculty/staff using these services will be charged monthly via a departmental charge-back (similar to Document Services' process).
- Alumni/Guest: Pace alumni and guests will receive $3.00 three times a year.
How do I check my printing balance?
Students can check the current printing balance by going to and entering their Pace credentials. The balance is displayed at the bottom under Payment Method. How to replenish your account?
- Students: As a Pace student, after you have exhausted your free $30 dollar printing balance, you can add personal funds to your Campus Printing Account. For more details on adding funds, please refer to the article. Also, Campus Printing dollars can be added by making an appointment with Student Accounts. Added funds through Campus Printing Account or Student Accounts will be accessible up to 2 hours after the transaction. Cash funds that students add to their Campus Printing Account will carry over from semester to semester until used.
- Faculty/Staff: Pace faculty/staff using these services will be charged monthly via a departmental charge-back (similar to Document Services' process)
- Alumni/Guest: Alumni and Guests are not eligible for additional Pharos printing credits. For further inquiries, please email our printer support team at printersupport@pace.edu.
What if a student loses their Pace ID Card?
As a Pace student, you can still print using your Pace username and password. Please contact the Pace ID Office to obtain a replacement. Note: Reporting a Pace ID card lost will lock the account and prohibit device usage.

Users will need to connect to the Pace Network (VPN, PACE-WIFI, or LAN) in order to authenticate their credentials and to communicate with the print system.

Yes, documents by default are set to print double-sided in line with the vision of a "green" and sustainable University.
