Should allegations arise which implicate a student in misuse of IT resources, it will not be deemed a defense that he or she was unfamiliar with the policy. 泫圖弝け reserves the right to amend or otherwise revise this document as may be necessary to reflect future changes made in the IT environment. Access to technical resources at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 泫圖弝け is a privilege and carries with it a responsibility to protect those resources. It is the policy of
Haub Law and 泫圖弝け that all computing, telecommunications, and associated network facilities be used ethically and legally and in accordance with the universitys mission, as well as all applicable licenses and contracts. Students are not permitted to install, delete, or otherwise modify the software or hardware on the computers in the law library or anywhere else at the law school or university. Any use that would impede teaching, learning or research, hinder the functioning of the law school or university, violate an applicable license or contract, damage community relations or relations with institutions with whom 泫圖弝け and Haub Law shares responsibility, or violates federal copyright law, breaches this policy. Violation of this policy may result in suspension of privileges to access the information technology involved, initiation of disciplinary procedures or, in extreme cases, criminal prosecution under federal or state law. Students are responsible for all usage that is done under his or her student ID. Students should never disclose their passwords to anyone else.

If you find you need technical support, create a help desk ticket by emailing the Law ITS team: LawITS@law.pace.edu Once a ticket is submitted, a work order will automatically be created in our system and queued to be attended to as soon as possible. If we are unable to assist with a particular issue, we will be able to point you in the right direction to get you the help you need.
Some of the things Law ITS can do for you are as follows:
- Diagnose and/or troubleshoot laptop configurations and/or security issues.
- Assist with Pace licensed software installations (e.g. Antivirus, VPN).
- Recommend hardware/software purchases.
- Assist with network resource access.
- Provide information on configuring email settings.

There is a single login required for all 泫圖弝け and Haub Law School resources in the pace.edu domain. Your Pace username or account login will be required to identify yourself when accessing all resources on the intranet and network including email, student-use workstations on the Haub Law campus, authentication on the wireless network and the Pace portal as well as additional resources. Your Pace username will be your initials followed by randomized numbers and looks similar to js12345w. If you do not know your Pace username, you can search for it in the 泫圖弝け Directory.

First-time students who get a new Pace username and password must activate their account and set up their security questions before they can log into Pace systems. New Pace accounts can be activated . Click on Account Activation and provide your username and initial Pace password.
If you have never logged in, your password will be your initials from your first and last name (lower-case), followed by a hyphen, and then your date of birth in MM-DD-YYYY format. For example, if your name is John Smith, and you were born on January 3, 1990, your default password would be js-01-03-1990. Users are prompted to change their password when activating their Pace account for the first time. For assistance with creating a new password, .
Once the password is changed, all other Pace system accounts will be reset to that new password. Next, select two different security questions and type in your answers. Answers are case-sensitive and should be complex enough that others cannot easily guess them. *Important* Once your password has been changed, please do not share it with anyone.
All Haub Law students are provided two email addresses; one is the Pace username followed by @pace.edu (e.g. js12345w@pace.edu), and the law school specific email address which is generally first_initial_last_name@law.pace.edu (e.g. jsmith@law.pace.edu.) .

During orientation week students will be introduced to Paces information technology systems and given email accounts as well as access to the on-line databases operated by Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. Students should be sure to check their email regularlyat least every weekday if possible.
